Welcome! I am Dr. William Guilford, Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering and BME's Undergraduate Program Director. Our young and carefully designed undergraduate program will prepare you to join in the thrill of discovery, development of life-saving innovations, and continue to advanced studies in engineering, medicine and the biomedical sciences. The diversity of educational and career opportunities available to our graduates is just one of many reasons to study biomedical engineering. Our department offers a unique combination of a small, collegial environment within a major medical center and engineering school. We offer extensive opportunities for undergraduate research, industrial internships and design. Look over our site and learn more about this extraordinary field!

If you have more questions, please contact our undergraduate coordinator Kitter Bishop at kbishop@virginia.edu or 434 924-5101.
