Lauren S. Sefcik

Lauren graduated in December, 2008, and after a postdoc in Dr. Brian Brian Wamhoff's laboratory in the Department of Medicine, she begins her career as an assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at Lafayette College, where she will help develop a biomedical engineering curriculum. She has promised to continue to wear her jersey and root for UVa basketball from her new home in Easton, PA. Her doctoral dissertation in the Botchwey lab focused on biomimetic substrates for bone repair and controlled release of phospholipids growth factors for therapeutic arteriogenesis.
