Kristen was the laboratory's first graduate, in May 2008. She is now employed by AlphaBioCom in Philadelphia. She grew up in northern New Jersey and attended Princeton University, where among other pursuits she was active as a varsity cheerleader (Go Tigers!). After spending most of her life in the great state of New Jersey, she decided to venture south to Charlottesville for graduate school. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the development of novel small molecules inducers of angiogenesis and arteriogenesis, as well as the controlled release of such bioactive agents for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications.
