The U.Va-Coulter Partnership
The Coulter Foundation chose U.Va. BME as a site for the Translational Partners Award because of our position at the intersection of the School of Engineering and Medicine and commitment to translational research. The University also has many of the elements in place for a successful system of translational research. They include the Darden School’s Batten Institute for entrepreneurial leadership and a number of University-wide initiatives such as the U.Va. Patent Foundation and Project Gateway.
